Ezekiel 14:3 “Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all?”
Ezekiel 11:19 “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.”

Sometimes we would rather not face reality. The other day, a “memory” picture came up on my social media page. It was from 10 years ago, and as I looked at it, I noticed how much younger and more fit I looked! All these years, I felt that I wasn’t changing, but one picture made me face reality!
Ezekiel 1:28 “All around him was a glowing halo, like a rainbow shining in the clouds on a rainy day. This is what the glory of the Lord looked like to me. When I saw it, I fell face down on the ground. . .”

A couple of years ago, I celebrated with a couple who made their final payment on their student loans. For years, this couple worked extra jobs, sacrificed things they wanted, and diligently chipped away at their debts each month. Finally, after much effort and discipline, their debts were paid! They were so excited to have this off their back!
Galatians 5:16-17 “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.”
Haggai 1:2-4 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “These people say, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the Lord’s house.’ ” Then the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai: “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”

Now that we are beginning to emerge from 15 months of Covid-life, our city is slowly coming back to life, people are remembering what it is like to be around others, and the gears of society are starting to move again. It’s like someone pressed a giant reboot button and we are all readjusting.
