1 Samuel 17:36  “Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.”

Over the past few weeks we have been looking at the process in which God grows our faith.

Step one is to “Hear it.”  When we hear the voice of God through scripture, an inner prompt, or the trusted advise of another we know what should do.

Step two is “See it.”  Once we listen to the voice of God and understand what He is calling us to do we grow by allowing Him to shape our imagination to see what could be in our lives.

Today we look at step three, “Risk It” because ultimately without a step of faith we will never grow.

David is one of the greatest examples of faith in the Bible.  And more than anything else he wasn’t afraid to “Risk It” when faith demanded.  When all of Isreal cowered to the Philistine army David focused on God not his critics, picked up a stone and trusted God’s capability more than his own ability.

How about you today?  Is there an area of your life where God is calling you to “Risk It?”  Have you listened to your critics rather than the voice of God?  Do you trust more in your ability or His capability?

Take a few moments to read 1 Samuel 17 and see what could happen when we decided to “Risk It” for God.

God Bless,

Mike
