Psalm 90:8 “You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.”
On July 30 th 1916 a fire started in a munitions depot in the New York City harbor. Over 50 tons of TNT exploded and the damage was extreme. Windows were shattered throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Statue of Liberty was damaged and tragically 10 people lost their lives trying to contain the fire. Later it was determined that the fire was not an accident but rather and act of sabotage by a German spy named Franz Von Rintelen.
When it comes to faith one way to sabotage our heart is through sin. Sin is anything that goes against God’s will in our lives. It can be a thought, a behavior or a decision not to follow God’s desires. Sin is a step in the wrong direction that may lead to temporary comfort or success but comes at a cost. When facing temptation we need to think about the long game in life and what really matters.
Are you struggling with something in your life that is sabotaging your faith? Is there a secret part of your life that you are hiding from God and others?

God knows and He does not give up on you! 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faith and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Confess to Him today and you will be forgiven. Take a moment to read and reflect on Moses’ struggle with hidden sin in Hebrews 11:24-27 and Exodus 2:11-15. God can help us from sabotaging our faith.
God Bless,
Mike
