Matthew 28:18-20  “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I remember seeing the pictures of my brothers-in-law as they were commissioned into the US Marines.  The images of their faces focused on the speaker as he challenged them to be officers of courage, integrity, and determination.  One of them told me about the flood of emotions he was experiencing as he graduated into the defining moment of becoming a US Marine.

One of the most defining moments of our lives is how we respond to the commissioning Jesus gives to each and every one of his followers.  In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus tells us that all authority has been given to Him and He challenges us to go!  As men who follow Jesus, this means we will need to leave our comfort zone, look around, and reach out!

Is there someone around you in pain?  Is there something you can do to help? Don’t ignore the moments God gives you to share Him with others or serve those who need the hope of Christ.

Take a few moments to read and reflect on this defining moment in our lives as men and don’t miss the opportunity to live on mission!

God Bless,

Mike
