Hope and a Future: What Could this Become?
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
I love to see when people find creative ways to repurpose old things, in creative ways. One of my favorites is a company called modpools.com who take old shipping containers and turn them into swimming pools! (If you have one let me know, I’d love to take a dip!)
As followers of Jesus, God also calls us to repurpose things in our hearts as well. Namely, the hurts we hold on to, the failures we replay in our minds, and the mistakes we have made in the past. In the Old Testament, God was speaking through His prophet Jeremiah to a group of people who personally knew failure, hurts, and mistakes. God had allowed them to be exiled from their land but later called them to repurpose their pain. God promised them a hope and a future and that promise is for us today as well! Remember God can use all things for good!
How about you? Are you holding on to a hurt from the past that is dragging you down? Is it making you bitter and hurting your relationships with others? Is there a failure from your past that you have not let go? Do you hold on to the regret of a past mistake?
Take some time today to allow God to repurpose these things for His Glory. God can use all things for Good.
