John 14:15-17 “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever ---  the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

I love a great campfire.  As a kid, one of the things that I often heard at a campfire was a good ghost story.  These made-up stories entertained and often frightened me.  Jesus also told a good ghost story.  However, the ghost that Jesus spoke about was not coming to frighten but to help.

The Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) is the most mysterious member of the trinity and often misunderstood.  The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is and advocate for those who believe and is here  with us too. Give us the power to accomplish what God has called us to do! (Acts 1:8) and give us the power to be what God has called us to be!  (Galatians 5:24-25)

How about you?  Is there a chance that your are trying to follow God on your own strength?  Have you ignored the Holy Spirit?  Have you received the Gift that Jesus promises all followers of God?

Take a moment to pray today and take some time to explore the Holy Spirit today!
