Fresh Start

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

 Have you ever needed a fresh start? Maybe you were stuck in a rut at work and needed a change or were in a relationship that needed to end. There are times in life when we need a fresh start. As the calendar year flips to 2018 many of us will look to a fresh start as well. We will set goals for the coming year in hopes to change patterns we have today.

The Bible tells us that in Christ we can have a fresh start each day. We would like our faith walk to be a perfect journey in an upward direction until we reach our highest point, but this is not the case. Our faith walk is often two steps forward and three steps back, but if we will turn to God in our shortcomings and failures, he offers us a fresh start. As this new year begins, embrace the fresh start you have for this new year and set goals of how you can become more of the man God has called you to be. In the midst of that, however, do not miss the fresh start God offers you each day. You are a new creation and have an opportunity for a fresh start each day. Make 2018 a year of fresh starts as you seek to become more like Jesus.
