Luke 15:4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.”

Sometimes the 1 is all that matters. You have 99 clients but 1 is not happy. You get the project 99 percent done but the last 1 percent makes all the difference. Your life is 99 percent in order but 1, maybe your wife or child, needs help. There are times that 1 is all that matters. As we approach the year-end is there 1 in your life that you need to pursue? Maybe a friend who you have lost track with that needs your help. Maybe your 1 is your family that needs your undivided attention.

Jesus was named Emmanuel because he drew near to us.  He left the 99 to find us and came into the world to be with us. There will always be more projects, accounts, work, and decisions to be made. In the midst of that, do not miss the one who came into the world to give you life. The one who was foretold about for thousands of years and the one whose birth and death changed the world forever. Let that be your one this Christmas season.  In a world of 99 distractions, I invite you to focus on the one in this Christmas season, Jesus Christ.

God bless,

 Mike
