Hebrews 11:1  “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

I usually do it every time I step onto a tee box.  After taking a couple of practice swings, I look down the fairway and visualize the ball soaring through the sky as it heads to the perfect spot to land.  This vision gives me a guide in my mind to aim for and confidence sometimes to hit a shot that is far above my skill level!

This principle is also true when it comes to faith.  Often, when God is calling is to do or be something, He will give us a picture of what this could look like in our hearts and minds.  For Abraham, God used the image of the stars in the sky and promised that his descendants would be numerous (Gen 22:17).  If we want to grow in faith like Abraham we need to learn to “see” what God says as well. “Seeing” is expecting God to do what he says he will do in our lives.  And we can build expectation by speaking God’s promises and praying.

How about you?  Is there an area of your life where you believe that God is speaking to you?  Are you anxious about something that you need to turn over to Him? (Phil 4:6)  Is He encouraging you to take a risk that is not comfortable?  Take a moment to picture what “could be” in your life.  Ask Him to help you “See It” today.

God Bless,

 Mike
