God is For You: The Greatest News!

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes . . . “

 

One of my daughters cannot keep a secret. Especially when she has good news! If she has bought a surprise gift for my birthday she often comes to me with hints about what it could be. Everyone loves sharing good news. Maybe you have a relative, friend or coworker who just cannot help but share good news!

The Apostle Paul had good news that he had to share as well. In Romans 1 he announces the greatest news of all time: God is for you! Paul proudly shared that the power of God can save everyone who believes. It does not matter where you come from or what you have done. This is great news for us and news that we need to share with others! 

How about you? Do you need to be reminded today that God is not against you? He loves you and wants what is best for you. God is for you!  Have you shared this news with others? Is there someone in your life that needs to be reminded that God wants what is best for them as well?

Take a few moments to read and reflect on Romans 1: 16-32. Notice how Paul wrestled with the culture he lived in and how he shared the greatest news of all time!
