Ephesians 1:4-5  “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.  In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ in accordance with His pleasure and will.”

Have you ever wondered what someone else really thinks of you?  Maybe you liked someone romantically but you did not know if they felt the same way.  Or maybe you wonder if your boss really values you.  At times you may have even wondered what God thinks of you.

Not long ago, Pittsburgh weather forecaster Jeff Versyla was walking his 9-year old son to the school bus stop. Large snowflakes drifted down.  Jeff’s son asked: “Dad, who controls the weather?”  Jeff answered, “God.”   Without missing a beat, his son said, “God hates us.”

In Ephesians 1 we take a look at how God really thinks of us.  In this chapter we see that God cares for you because you are His beloved child.  When we put our faith in Jesus there is a relational change that happens between you and God.  He adopts you into His family!  Because of this you are forgiven and blameless in His sight and marked as His through the Holy Spirit.

Take a few moments today to read and reflect on Ephesians 1:4-14 this weekend and remember how God really thinks of you.

God Bless,

Mike
